A home is hard work to clean when cleaning happens in bursts — a long Saturday, then a fortnight of catching up. This guide replaces the burst with a system: a fifteen-minute daily reset, one focus a day across the week, a short monthly list and two seasonal deep cleans, so no job grows big enough to dread.
It is also a reference to open in the middle of a job. The surface guide says what to use, and what never to use, on laminate, wood, natural stone, stainless steel, hobs, chrome, acrylic baths and tiles. A chapter on hard water deals with limescale on kettles, taps, showerheads, toilets and shower screens without harming the finish underneath, and the stain guide covers tea, wine, grease, grass, ink, wax and more.
Safety is written plainly and comes first: which products must never be mixed, ventilation, patch testing, and storing products away from children. The right product for the surface
Acids dull marble, scourers scratch acrylic and too much water swells laminate. The surface and floor tables say what to reach for and what to keep well away.
Safety, written plainly
Never mix bleach with ammonia or acids, use one product at a time, ventilate, patch test, and keep everything in its original container out of children's reach.

- Is this a physical book?
- No. It is a PDF guide. The download link appears on the confirmation page straight after payment and is emailed to you as well, so nothing is posted and no address is needed.
- Does it tell me which brands to buy?
- No. It works with ordinary household products by type — washing-up liquid, a multi-purpose spray, cream cleaner, limescale remover — and asks you to follow each product's label and the care advice for whatever you are cleaning.
- Is the limescale chapter useful in a soft water area?
- It is one of twelve chapters, and it starts by showing you how to check how hard your own supply is. The routines, surface guide and stain guide apply wherever you live.
- Can I print the planners?
- Yes. The file is unlocked, and the eight planners and checklists at the back are laid out to print at A4 or A5 — the weekly planner is designed to stick inside a cupboard door.
- What if the file will not open?
- Write to us and we will send it again. If it is faulty or not as described on this page, that is not what you paid for — the refund policy sets out your rights in full.
